The first, published in 1947, is a history of textile production in our local area, including some illustrations & a great map. I pretty much bought it for the map alone
The second - I love Native/First Nation/indigenous design & art. While this is also pretty dated, a quick flick through it in the shop revealed it includes information about fibre preparation & dyes as well as the actual weaving, so it should still be interesting.

I dont know much about fine art. Been to a bunch of museums and seen epic, historic paintingsbut fine art is still a bit above my pay grade. I do, however, love textiles - so I collect carpets, wall hangings, blankets and the like. I am particularly fond of Uzbek Suzani textiles, and Ive been able to acquire a number of pieces at auction (in most cases for ridiculously cheap prices). Here are a few of my favorites.
