Ive been trying to use old yarn in every project this year, but the warp on this is all 17+ years old. The rose, pale pink and white are originally from a baby blanket whose owner is now a senior in high school. The red is from several baby blankets. Those kids are all mid 20s. The brown I got used in 1997, so who knows how old that is.
This is a run of waffle weave towels.

Wool releases and reabsorbs heat through a chemical process called the heat of sorption as it wicks moisture vapor. That cycle runs all night.

I recently added new rewards and add-ons, because I managed to get my set up for screen printing on wool felt working well. At last.

I also came up with an adaption to the print set up, because the felt is much thicker than paper.

Buckwheat hulls compress and shift with pressure but do not spring back on their own because they are agricultural fiber, not foam. They interlock once redistributed through kneading, which is why hand-fluffing restores height in a buckwheat pillow while a dryer cycle does nothing useful for hulls that were never built for tumble heat.
