I need something that will retain it's shape, be comfortable on a warm day, and can handle getting wet in the rain. Lightweight would be nice too. Plant fibers only please. Maybe I can weave something out of thin cordage

Crochet in front of the telly
Some small dyed pieces I did today to sell for visible mending.
Not finished yet, but the fabric for a new front door curtain. I first dyed it with Osage orange chips from a farmer/woodworker/artist friend in Kansas, then today overdyed with indigo. I love how hippie it looks.
Any textile people have advice for dyeing fabric I want to dye a sheet set that's an awkward color. 100% cotton. I'm trying to gauge how well the dye will cover the existing color, and I want a kind that won't fade or rub off onto everything else. I've seen recs for fiber reactive but also don't want anything too complex to work with. I'd appreciate any recs!
