What would be a good natural fiber fabric (or other option) to replace the mesh on the back of this seat back It's in really rough shape (worst damage not pictured). I need something that will retain it's shape, be comfortable on a warm day, and can handle getting wet in the rain. Lightweight would be nice too. Plant fibers only please. Maybe I can weave something out of thin cordage

Some small dyed pieces I did today to sell for visible mending.

Not finished yet, but the fabric for a new front door curtain. I first dyed it with Osage orange chips from a farmer/woodworker/artist friend in Kansas, then today overdyed with indigo. I love how hippie it looks.

Any textile people have advice for dyeing fabric I want to dye a sheet set that's an awkward color. 100% cotton. I'm trying to gauge how well the dye will cover the existing color, and I want a kind that won't fade or rub off onto everything else. I've seen recs for fiber reactive but also don't want anything too complex to work with. I'd appreciate any recs!

This textiles thing is harder than it looks. Making a pattern is definitely a good way to start, helps me think about the process a bit better. I have, of course, realised that my first attempt at a pattern is bin fodder.

An aesthetic sense & feel for color, shape & pattern is required when working with a mixture of textiles in an environment. Especially challenging when its not a coordinated collection. This is an eclectic set up thats well done. annaspiro
